Last week I went to the Polish seaside. I’ve been to Gdańsk and Trójmiasto couple of times and I always had great memories from this place. This time I went solo, just to relax and focus. The weather wasn’t amazing, but it was still April so I couldn’t complain. It was mostly 50 degrees F (10 C). In this post I wanted to share with you my favorite spots and the amazing apartment I stayed at.

What to see in Gdańsk

I would recomend to go to Stare Miasto and just wander around the river, Gates and Monuments. Westerplatte is the next stop. I would also reccomend to see Molo Brzezno, Stogi Beach and Park Oliwa.

Where to stay in Gdańsk

I stayed in Dani-Apart, an apartment ranked 9.8 on Booking.com Apartment had everything that you can possibly want. I felt like at home and the apartment owner was amazing, I got tons of tips of what to see in the area.

About Nadmorski Dwór

Apartment has a huge terrace, which is amazing as you can stay outdoors and enjoy the sun with cup of hot chocolate when it is not too hot, or cooled drink, when it is.

You also get access to the community gym and tennis court. I was so miss-fortune not having friends with me as I would probably play on this court every day. No matter the weather. Gym is smal but very functional and you probably will have it all to yourself. It also has an outdoor space.

About the Area

The apartment is located around 600m from the Molo Brzeźno and you have 2 routes that can get you there by foot in no time. One is through the Ronald Regan Park and the other at Hallera street.

Molo Brzeźno is surrounded by countless bars and cafe’s and you can also try the famous Gofry with whipped cream and fruits.

From the molo you can walk on the beach 3 miles / 5km to get to Sopot Molo. You can also go 6miles / 10km and reach Molo in Orłowo as I did. From there you can take a train back to Gdansk. It is really cheep and runs frequently.

About the Apartment

Apartment had 1 bedroom, living room with kitchen and bathroom.

Kitchen is fully equipped so whatever it is coffee, tea, smoothie, you can do it all.  I could probably list all the items I found but this are all listed in the listing so check it out here.

Some of the favorite items I found was the washing machine with drying function. I had run into a rain on the beach one day and my white kicks needed a wash & dry. Also on my first day I had an omelette with berry muss and some muss ended up on my clothes. The washing machine came really handy.

I love making shakes so on the days I didn’t have my meal plan ordered I had my shakes prepped in the blender. I also used the blankets when I went on the beach.

The reason I opted for an apartment instead of a hotel was mainly the space and the terrace to be honest. In a hotel I would have to sit in the bedroom all the time, but knowing the weather forecast I opted for some more space with close proximity to the beach.

I have purchased a MyLife gym membership on Groupon so I used it in the Sopot Klif Calypso Gym, and I had a great time jumping on trampolines there.

Other recommended hotels & apartments:

If there were no availability at Dani Apart, I would probably stay in one of these:

Puro

Hilton

Sweet Suite- Deluxe Apt

How to cut the cost on food

I had ordered the daily fit diet, so I received 5 meals every morning, it really cut the cost as I paid around 30-40 PLN ($10) per day, while I would pay that only for the famous fish and chips on the beach.

But please don’t just focus on cutting the cost of food when you are there though. If this is your first time in the area you should definitely try famous fish and chips and gofry. If you are first time in Poland, check out this post to see some of my favorite dishes I missed after 2 years living in the US.

Hi, my name is Joanna, I started this blog in Jan 2017. I created posts about beauty, fashion, travel, rabbits, money blogging ect. Simply put: all the stuff I care about. After 10 months I realized my blog is not getting enough traffic so I dived into research. Till Oct 2017 I only had around 700 visitors on my blog per month. Then I implemented my Pinterest strategy and automated my pinning with my own build tool – PinMeApp. In Nov 2017 I got 3300 page views and then in Dec 2017 8500. That is how my app was born: PinMeApp. I wanted to help others grow traffic to their sites as well. Today I offer subscription for my app, but I also teach people my Pinterest strategy, step by step what I did to grow the traffic so fast, so this blog is now getting around 20k page views each month. I also offer Pinterest Management and implement my strategy for brands who want to reach their audience on Pinterest as well. My Pinterest account reaches over 5m people monthly. If you want such results feel free to contact me. Cheers, Joanna
